Hello. My name is Dr. James Gomes. I grew up in Fall River, MA, and graduated from Durfee High School. After high school, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and was later activated to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom. I pursued my chiropractic education at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic, where I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2012. I also received specialized training in Active Release Technique (ART®), a state-of-the-art system that addresses problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves.
Throughout my career, I have helped individuals of all ages reduce pain and improve mobility and function through hands-on treatment and education. I have worked with babies suffering from torticollis and reflux, pregnant women dealing with hip, neck, and back pain, round ligament pain, and sciatica, as well as children, adults, and the elderly facing issues such as TMJ, neck and back pain, sciatica, headaches, migraines and acid reflux.
I was introduced to chiropractic care at a young age after my father sustained a work-related back injury. When traditional treatments provided little relief, chiropractic care made a significant difference, allowing him to return to work and normal functioning. As an athlete, chiropractic care was also life-changing for me, helping me recover from injuries and perform without pain. This profound impact inspired me to pursue a career in chiropractic so that I could provide the same relief to others.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, spearfishing, exercising, and being outdoors.
